After a long time finally a new blogger template has come called BASIC by Elegant themes(Provider of wordpress version). Its a blog/magazine type blogger template. Basic features a very clean, easy-to-read and traditional layout that focuses on displaying your content in an orderly fashion.

Customizations

1. Installing color style – In the download I haven’t added the code that will colorize the template. That you have to do it yourself. Choose the color that suites you. I have provided codes in the download. Just copy the color code and paste it just above ]]></b:skin> tag in the template.

2. How to post – While adding any image in the post add class=”thumbnail” to the img tag. Remember there should not be any additional border class added in the img tag. The img tag should be like shown below:-

When you upload any image through new editor then it generates code like this :-

So it should not be like this. Change it as I told you.

3. Use jump link option in blogger draft to hide part of the post. Read more image will automatically appear.

4. Changing the logo – To change the logo I have provided psd (Photoshop document) with this template. Edit the logo.psd and make the adjustments in Photoshop. Save it as logo.png( don’t save as jpg format ). Upload it online and get the url. Go to template code and find logo class. In the template there are two logo classes but we need the one which is in the style that i have provided you. It will be like shown below. Change the url to the new logo url.

5. Editing the About me section - To edit the About me section just go to the template code and find <div id='about'> below it is the code for about me section. So you can make changes in it as you need.
