New blogger video template: YouBlog
Its been a really while since i last posted. I been really busy these last three months so sorry for my absence.I am really happy to release this video template. I have tried to make this template as simple as possible to use. As you all may know its my my first video template. This template is only compatible with YouTube videos only.
More templates with simple usage and cool functionality will be released in near future. I have many cool ideas regarding more templates.

Customizations
1. Adding the Navigation- To add the navigating menu go to dashboard>>design>>page elements. There you will see the widget named “ADD TOP MENU CODE HERE”. Click “edit” and add the following code to it.

You can add submenu as seen in the above code
2. Creating a post – Creating a post is the real thing that’s you should really look at. Firstly lets see how to get the sharing URL from YouTube. Bellow a YouTube video there’s option of “SHARE”. Click it and you will see box like this:-
In the above image there is a link called “show options”. Click it and you will see two options. From those one option will be “Long Link”, check that and you will get the Long sharing URL. Which is what we want, it should look like this.
Get this URL and while creating any post use the URL like shown below:-
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEBo0Hf3LqE[/youtube]
The link should be enclosed by [youtube]YOUTUBE LINK[/youtube].DO NOT ADD EXTRA SPACE INSIDE THESE MARKERS.You can insert it anywhere in the post but i suggest you insert it at the top. Only the first instance of this code will work if you are inserting it more than one times.
1. While posting do not use apostrophe s in the post title. For example “Michael Jackson’s new album MICHAEL released”. This might cause an error.
2. In the posting style shown above do not add space inside [youtube]LINK[/youbube]. It should have only the YouTube URL.3. Adding Recent posts widget – Below it the code which you can use to create Recent posts widget. It will only work for this template not any other so be careful. You can change the variable as per your need.

Hey! Is there a way to post with an image instead of a video? Or to have nothing at all show up? I guess I could just change the default image to something more my flavor, but I don't want it all looking the same.
I forgot to ask:
Can I change which six posts are in the 'Featured Posts' element? I would rather show more important/popular posts there, rather than just the six most recent. Also, can I change how the posts are arranged outside of the Featured Posts element? I notice that the oldest posts get shoved out first. Can I do it differently?

Actually this template is meant for videos only not images.
Regarding the featured posts, first six posts automatically get added up to slider leaving the seventh one as ordinary post. So as you keep on doing posts the slider will automatically get updated.
I have added this feature coz some people don't know HTML or CSS. So i have tried making easier for them.
It you like you can change the functionality but i really can't help you with that.

Actually it is possible to create a popular posts widget but i'm really not going to create it.

is there a way to show different preview image for videos. problem is that i want to place some other videos and they're not from youtube. so is there a way to upload an image and make it be the preview image?

I think the problem is that you are not using blogger's jump more feature in the posts. Use Jump link's feature when creating a post, it will not affect your posts but will make them reappear.

YouBlog template is awesome. It really spoil me, however I must admit that the YouBlog is not compatible with HD / High Quality videos or start at line is active. I mean, the thumbnail is not appear when HD videos is active.

All you need to do to make Recent Posts widget work is just to ignore the last line of code given. Don't include div class="clear"/></div.
It is given by the gadget automatically. That's messing up everything...

Firstly i don't see any problem with your carousel.
Secondly to make the background fixed use this code where you changed the background earlier.

i also didn't want the recent videos and followers widget, so i delete it.
