How to setup a free email service for your custom blogger domain
In this tutorial I’m going to explain that how you can setup a free email service for your domain and registered it under your domain. This tutorial explains how you can use Google Apps to setup a free Gmail account on your custom domain and get an email like bloggerzbible@bloggerzbible.com .
The thing that you will need is a domain from a cheap web hosting services. You can easily get a custom domain for nearly $10 or less.
So now i assume you have a custom domain so let’s get started. Go to Google Apps and under menu name solution select Google Apps (Free) >> Get started.
Now you will be required to input your domain name and other details. After filling all the details Google will provide you two options. Going “EXPRESS” way or “CUSTOM”. I suggest you select the “EXPRESS” as it is easy and fast to set up.
After doing that you will get option’s like shown From that choose “VERIFY DOMAIN OWNERSHIP” and click NEXT.
For verifying the domain you will be given “Alternative methods” from which the one most preferable for a blogger blog is “Add a meta tag to your site's home page”. When you select this option you will be given a meta tag like shown below.

Copy it and go to your blogger’s template code. Paste it below the <head> tag. Save your template and go to Google apps>>VERIFY>>Continue.
Now you will be shown the Google Apps set up guide again. Select the “Set up your Apps”>>”Gmail”>>”Set up Gmail”. The next step is really tricky one.
You’ll now need to set up MX record. These record can be added to service from whom you purchased the domain.The wizard will provide you 5 MX records to be added to your domain service and it will also provide necessary instructions to setup the records.
My records looked like this after adding.
After adding these records click through the next steps until you get “GOOGLE CALENDER” in the wizard.
Now in the main menu above go to “DASHBOARD”>>”EXIT SETUP WIZARD” (if this option is showing up). After that you will see the GMAIL option below with STATUS “NOT ACTIVE”
Click on the “GMAIL” LINK>>”I have followed all the steps”. Go again to dashboard and you will not see the GMAIL STATUS as updating.
Your service is now successfully set up and now you can access it by going on URL like shown below.
https://mail.google.com/a/DOMAIN_NAME
Try sending any email and you will see that it is delivered with your domain name. Remember all this you need a domain which you can easily get from Web hosting service.
